Polar Explorers in the Western Australian Desert?
Yes there will be snow, snowmen, skis & more in Leonora this October!
The Leonora Bush Mission Trip 2015 will run from Saturday 26th September to Saturday the 3rd October. We are heading to the Goldfields town of Leonora to run a holiday club for the children of the area. LBM has been running annually for 23 years. The team is currently made up of volunteers from various Perth churches and some Year 10/11 students from Rehoboth Christian College. LBM is supported & funded by donations from the Leonora Shire Council, local businesses, mining companies, churches in Perth, including Riverton Baptist Community Church, the Roy & Mel Nash Memorial Bursary Fund and Rehoboth Christian College. LBM was started by Mr David Maclennan and it continues to be led by Dave and his wife Avril.
During the holiday club the children enjoy singing, games, skits, craft, Bible stories, sport, face painting & more…
This year’s theme is 'Polar Explorers'. Through it the children will learn that they can never make too many mistakes, never be too ordinary, never be too far or near, never be too bad and never be too young to be part of God's Big Expedition. They will learn of a number of people written about in the New Testament who God used to spread the good news about Jesus.
Please pray for us as we finish preparations for the trip and for safe travel on Saturday the 26th September.
